The SAT Scoring Scale carries a max possible score of 2400 (Two thousand four hundred), with each section (Critical Reading, Math, & Writing) scored on a 200-800 point scale. SAT scores are based on a student's percentile relative to other students taking the same test. The percentile score is then converted into a score ranging from 200 to 800.
